Our Wheat Ridge location opened in October of 2007. The owners of this location were clients in Golden for several years before deciding to open their own location. They've been an excellent addition to the Rover Retreat family!
We offer dog day-care and overnight boarding, personalized and special needs care, bath and brush service and lots of love and play. As with our other locations, Rover Retreat Wheat Ridge understands the benefits of social interaction and our dogs spend their day playing with each other and with our employees. Kennels are only used for sleeping, eating and private times if needed. Dogs do not have separate "runs" and they are not confined all day.
With 9000 square feet of outdoor play area, in three main yards and two smaller yards, Rover Retreat Wheat Ridge has lots of running room. We also have 2000 square feet of indoor, climate-controlled play space and the dogs always have access and freedom to go in and out as they please.

Sometimes we have dogs that require a little extra care and we have a special "quiet" room just for them. This could be a recent spay or neuter recovery (as many of the rescue dogs are,) an older dog that just needs things a bit calmer, or other special needs situations.
The smaller dogs (who we fondly refer to as "the littles") have special areas, however, knowing that some "littles" think they're actually "big," we encourage compatible play groups based on temperament, not size. Lap times and massages are always included at no extra charge!
